The Wellness Ranch Team

Kathy Wendt

Founder & Equine Specialist

Kathy was 5 years old when she got on a horse for the first time.  From that point on she knew her passion and love for horses would continue to grow with her forever.

This flourished into riding lessons, competing and owning horses.  She had her first child who passed away when he was only 3 days old. This ignited her keen desire to work with and make an impact on special needs children. She volunteered at therapeutic riding facilities for 10 years, and then received her PATH certifications in Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning.

She continued to gain experience in these fields for five years, working towards her lifelong dream to have a non-profit of her own.  Together with her husband Jay, they made this dream come true. She has helped countless children and adults through the power and assistance of horses.

Hope Bennet

Co-Founder & Certified Counselor

Hope has had a love for horses since an early age. She learned to ride and show while she was in elementary
school.  Although she never owned horses, she took an opportunity to ride every time she could. Her family even fostered a couple horses for a summer camp when they went on their fall and winter breaks.

Hope also has a love for helping people overcome obstacles in their lives. She particularly loves to talk with people about how they are uniquely designed by God and their divine purpose.

After majoring in Psychology in college and owning her Christian faith as a young adult, she decided to pursue a certificate in Pastoral Counseling.

Hope actively serves in her local church, community and is an active member in the local Chamber of Commerce.
